Oil prices are going through the roof. Gas is jumping by leaps and bounds almost on a daily basis. There must be a critical shortage of oil right?
Wrong…
As someone who works in the oil industry I can tell you emphatically that there is no shortage of oil in the USA. In fact it is hard to find places to go with it.
We have had a glut of oil now for the past three years and I can’t see much change. Our oil haulers struggle every day to find buyers that aren’t “full up”.
So why are prices going out the roof? They’re using you people. The Oil Companies and Oil soaked politicians are using public sentiment to get what they want – which is “Drill Baby Drill” and conning Americans out of unconscionable amounts of their hard earned money.
Product is purposefully being held off the market to achieve these ends. When this was tried under Bill Clinton he threatened to open up the Strategic Reserves and prices began to recede.
Quite frankly I don’t understand why today’s Democratic politicians don’t just go to the public and tell it like it is. That Americans are once again being scammed and fleeced. Instead they just sit around silently while the oil companies and their bought and paid for cronies in D.C. have their way once again.
As someone who works on the ground in the oil industry – I am telling you there is no shortage of oil in the USA. But once again most Americans will believe the lie.
